Biography

Master Sergeant Mcluckie is a native of Fort Dodge, Iowa. He entered the United States Army in 1990. He attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Knox, Kentucky to become an Armored Reconnaissance Scout. He assumed the duties and responsibilities as the Senior Military Instructor at the University of Kentucky on 10 July 2016.

Master Sergeant Mcluckie has served as a Bradley Gunner, Section Leader, Bradley Commander, Platoon Sergeant, Instructor, Military Transition Team Advisor, Operations Sergeant, and as a Troop First Sergeant. He deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom I and III, Philippine Balikatan 2011, Enduring Freedom 2012-13, and Spartan Shield 2015.

Master Sergeant Mcluckie’s military and civilian education includes the Air Assault School, Armored Reconnaissance Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic and Advanced Non Commissioned Officer Course, Instructor Course, and the USASMA First Sergeant Course. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Environmental Science from the University of Alabama.

Master Sergeant Mcluckie’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1OLC), Purple Heart Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (SOLC), Army Achievement Medal (SOLC), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (#5), NATO Medal (Afghanistan), Combat Action Badge, Air Assault Badge, Driver’s (Mechanized) Badge, and the German Proficiency Badge (Gold).

Master Sergeant Mcluckie is a member of the Orders of Saint George, Saint Maurice, the Purple Heart Association and University of Kentucky Student Discipline Committee.
