Ways to Give to the College of Arts and Sciences

Annual Giving Contributions
Regular contributions to the college are vital for maintaining the excellence of our 16 distinct departments and 19 programs.  
Annual giving to the departments or Arts and Sciences Academic Excellence Fund supports:

• scholarships and other financial assistance for talented, hardworking students
• great teacher awards for faculty who go above and beyond to foster the intellectual growth
• visiting distinguished lecturers who bring to life classroom lectures
• faculty teaching innovations and research
• out of classroom experiences that build and textbook lessons.

What Is The Academic Excellence Fund?
The Arts & Sciences Academic Excellence Fund is used to promote and reward academic excellence within the college. The fund enables the dean to enrich the educational experience UK students receive beyond what state funding allows.

Dean’s Circle Annual Giving Recognition Society:
In 2005, the UK College of Arts and Sciences launched the Dean’s Circle – an Arts & Sciences annual recognition society. Comprised of alumni and friends who support the college and its departments through yearly leadership level gifts, the Dean’s Circle recognizes those who have taken it upon themselves to steward the ideals of a strong liberal arts and sciences education. Annual giving is vital to the educational opportunities our students receive and the Dean’s Circle leads the College’s annual giving efforts.

     Annual Giving Levels
     Commonwealth - $5,000 and up
     Bluegrass - $2,500 - $4,999
     Limestone - $1,000 - $2,499
     Young Alumni (graduated in past 10 years) - $500 - $2,499

Endowments
Setting up a specific gift to perpetually support a student scholarship, faculty position, program, and/or research award will guarantee continued excellence and success of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky. This gift can be in honor or in memory of a loved one or friend. Matching funds may be available to quickly increase the support of an endowment. Click here for more information.
