Master Sergeant Skinner is a native of Rochester, Indiana and enlisted in the Army as an Armor Crewman in September 1993. He has performed duties as a Tank Loader, Tank Driver, Tank Gunner, Tank Commander, Platoon Sergeant, Operations Sergeant and First Sergeant.

He has been stationed in Vilseck Germany, Fort Irwin California, Fort Knox Kentucky and Fort Riley Kansas. He has been deployed to the Republic of Macedonia and twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He is a graduate of the First Sergeant Course, Senior Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Warrior Leader Course, Drill Sergeant School and Master Fitness Trainer Course.

Master Sergeant Skinner joined the University of Kentucky “Wildcat Battalion” Spring Semester 2010.
